Review: Development History of PET Plastics

The production scale of PET in China is far behind several major foreign manufacturers. In the 1980s, our country gradually imported advanced PET resin synthesis equipment of ten thousand tons to hundreds of thousands tons from abroad, and the quality and output have made considerable progress. According to the statistics of China Textile Association, in 1997, China produced 174,000 tons of PET chip resins, of which the production capacity of high viscosity packaging chip resins was 224,000 tons, so the source of producing PET engineering plastics grade resins was sufficient. Because the equipment for preparing various blended modified PET plastics is universal, and the domestic mixing extruder manufacturing has also formed a certain scale, so as long as the market is opened up, the domestic production of PET plastics will grow rapidly.
